Event Partners
This year we’re proud to be able to partner with local giants of the Indianapolis art community. The help of these sponsors has provided us with ideal space for the event as well resources to realize some of our goals. This recognition and support from the local art scene reaffirms our belief that SubSurface is a cultural treasure for our city.
Big Car / Service Center for Contemporary Culture and Community
Friday, August 31 our official kickoff and artist meet-and-greet will be held at Service Center. The space has been generously donated by Big Car, the organization behind Service Center and catalyst for a wide range of cultural interactions in Indianapolis and other cites.

Indianapolis Museum Of Contemporary Art
IMOCA is Indianapolis’s premiere contemporary art gallery and a key fixture in the Fountain Square district, a crown jewel of the Cultural Trail. Having presented work in the past from SubSurface artists FAB Crew and Ish Muhammed, IMOCA continues to be a natural fit for the still emerging art of graffiti.

University of Indianapolis Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center
UIndy is helping us to make the weekend truly special by presenting the panel discussion with FAB Crew and Dave Chino. Only with their support can we bring an icon like Chino to our city to explore what connects Indy and the FAB Crew to the global graffiti movement. The panel discussion will seek to draw connections between recent work by FAB Crew (opening August 31 in the DeHaan Gallery) and long-established traditions in the art of graffiti.
